Fundamentals, diagnosis & screening

• Pathophysiology: What really happens in the brain?
• Acute management: Identifying red flags and triage.
• Multimodal screening: Specific concussion tests and targeted assessment of the involved systems:
  • Balance & vestibular system
  • Visual system & oculomotor function
  • Cervical spine proprioception
  • Autonomic nervous system

Load Management & Rehabilitation

• Graded activity: Why early, appropriate loading is important and how to dose it.
• Patient education: Lifestyle management as a key pillar of therapy (including sleep hygiene and nutrition).
• Therapeutic approaches: Targeted exercises for vestibular rehabilitation, visual training, and cervical spine proprioception specifically for concussion patients.
• Return-to-play / Return-to-learn: Safe stepwise protocols for returning to sport, school, and work.
