Yes, provided that the vertigo therapy takes place as part of medically prescribed physiotherapy or occupational therapy. Billing is handled either directly through contracted therapists of the respective health insurance fund (e.g., ÖGK, SVS, BVAEB) or as part of elective therapy. With elective therapists, you first pay the invoice yourself and then submit it to your health insurance provider for a partial refund.

For a treatment to be paid for or subsidized by health insurance, a medical prescription for physiotherapy or occupational therapy is strictly required. With many insurance companies, prior approval of the prescription by a medical officer is also necessary. Regardless of this, you can also inquire directly at many practices about preventive consultation or self-pay services, which you cover entirely privately.

Therapy according to the IVRT® standard is based on strictly evidence-based and active approaches. Our certified physiotherapists and occupational therapists in Austria use standardized, scientifically validated tests and create customized exercises for gaze stabilization, balance training, and specific repositioning maneuvers for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).

Specialized therapists treat a wide range of vestibular disorders. These include benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), vestibular neuritis, persistent postural-perceptual dizziness (PPPD), Ménière's disease, vestibular migraine, unilateral or bilateral vestibular hypofunction, as well as central vestibular disorders and age-related gait instability.
