(2025)<\/strong> examined the effectiveness of vestibular rehabilitation for these residual symptoms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udd17 <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/40424142\/\"><strong>Original study<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Study design:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Participants:<\/strong> 30 individuals with RD after successful BPPV treatment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Two groups:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Group 1:<\/strong><br>received for 6 months <strong>weekly <a href=\"https:\/\/ivrt.de\/en\/patientenedukation\/vestibulaere-rehabilitationstherapie-und-gleichgewichtstraining\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"8932\">vestibular rehabilitation therapy<\/a><\/strong> + daily <strong>home exercises<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Group 2:<\/strong><br>participated in <strong>aerobic exercise sessions every two months<\/strong> , with instructions for daily unsupervised endurance training (e.g., walking, cycling)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Outcome measures:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Modified Dizziness Handicap Inventory (mDHI)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Functional Gait Assessment (FGA)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Posturography (center of pressure with eyes closed, COP EC)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Results:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Both groups improved in <strong>mDHI<\/strong> and <strong>FGA<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Only Group 1<\/strong> showed significant improvement in <strong>postural control<\/strong> (COP EC).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Between-group comparison: Group 1 achieved <strong>superior improvement<\/strong> in mDHI and COP EC after the intervention.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clinical relevance:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This study confirms that a structured vestibular rehabilitation program with therapeutic supervision and home training is in contrast to nonspecific aerobic activities for residual dizziness after BPPV <strong>clearly superior<\/strong> \u2014 both subjectively and objectively measurable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25b6 For IVRT\u00ae therapists: <strong>Targeted vestibular intervention is worthwhile \u2014 even beyond
